So I'd wish I had the time to write a long and awesome jury speech, but I have a very important exam this friday that I'm gonna have to focus on. That said, I'm gonna make one quick and get back to my psychology.
To the followers of this season, I probably didn't seem very active, but I'm pretty sure that almost all of contestants on the jury (and on my tribe pre-merge) know that I have been active throughout this entire season.
I started out on Verite with some pretty awesome people. I already knew Joan and Richie and really wanted to work with them. The others were cool too, and I think we all kinda hoped that we could stick together at the merge. Of course, a few things changed after that tribe switch, and I guess that's how it should be.
My pre-merge game wasn't that interesting, since my two tribes won immunity almost every time. I was only vulnerable at two councils pre-merge and got targeted both times.
After the merge, however, things got interesting. We managed to get the majority and get rid of LP, which was a great start. Then that vote-out-two-people-at-once-twist appeared, and that messed up a lot of stuff. People in my alliance were voting for fellow allies and it was a mess. In the end, Stephane (who I actually really wanted to play with) and my closest ally, Richie, got voted out. That left me in a really bad spot. Apparently not bad enough, as another of my allies got voted out at the next council, that being Michael. That left me, Zach and Jino, where I was unsure about where Lawrence and Julia stood. Luckily, both were loyal and so we got rid of Justin, someone I unfortunately never got to talk to through the game. After that, it got really interesting, because Perry now felt threatened and wanted to align. I figured he'd be a great ally since he dominated the challenges and probably would get to the end anyway, so together we decided to vote out Zach, Julia and Lawrence as the next three, in that order. However, Zach was one of my allies, so I obviously didn't want to vote him out and so in the revote I figured I'd be better off with Zach than with Julia. Zach went the council after though, mainly because I wanted to keep aligning with Perry, who wanted him gone.
After the following immunity challenge, I woke up to a message from Perry saying: "We're voting Jino if you want to live." which to me seemed like a threat. And so I told Jino and we discussed what to do. We wanted to get rid of Maya, and get Lawrence's vote (didn't want Perry's help, as I thought he was threatening me - I later found out that it wasn't the case and that he actually tried to save me). Turned out Jino wanted to do everything to survive, and voted for me along with Maya, with me being the only one actually voting for Maya. Jino ended up going.
Then the tough council came up. It was obvious that me, Lawrence and Maya would vote Perry, right? Well, I wasn't so sure. I had (or have) my exam coming up and had to focus on that, so I figured I could as well help out Perry. He's been really into this game and I thought he deserved to win, so I caused the tie. I really hoped for a tiebreaker, and hadn't there been one, I wouldn't have had second thoughts on voting Lawrence. I somehow convinced myself that I probably should vote Perry, and so I did, only to regret it a few minutes later and try and change the vote. You can, obviously, not change your vote though. I already told Perry that I'm sorry, and I still think he should have won.
Man, that got a bit longer than I expected. Oh, well.
I think I've played a good game. I played aggressive pre-merge, but found out that it would get me targeted and so I tried out a new strategy: under the radar. It seems like I did good, because nobody really bothered me. I tried not to talk to my enemies, so that my name wouldn't get out there, while I strategized with my allies.
You can ask questions all you want, but again; I have this very important exam. If you need me to answer something, it'd be awesome if you could notify me on Facebook, as I'm gonna be reading about PTSD, depression and similar funny things.
But, I decided to answer some questions that I figured some of you guys had for me. So now you wont have to ask them, saving time for us all. Convenient, right?
If you had to vote for either Lawrence or Maya, who would you vote for?
Maya played a very loyal game, which is very important to me. So I would probably have to give it to her.
However, Lawrence did play a good social and aggressive game, scrambling a lot before every council. He was never really loyal though, and again, I think loyalty and honesty is important.
Why do you deserve my vote?
That's up to you to decide if I do. As Perry said as I had cast my first vote for Lawrence: "It's your vote, I'm not gonna try and control it." (he said something like that). But you should consider to vote for me because I managed to keep alive despite seeing my allies getting voted off one by one, and also because I played an honest and loyal game.
You were inactive, I'm not voting for you.
Pft, that wasn't a question. I've seen a few comments where I've been blamed for being inactive. I'm not gonna put anything in this, just gonna say that I was never inactive.
Why'd you vote for me/vote me out?
One by one:
Stephane, Richie, Michael and Jino: never voted for you guys.
Justin: to me, you seemed like the biggest threat at the time, simple a that.
Julia: it was you or Zach, and I would rather have Zach around in case something were to happen later on. You were a big threat though.
Zach: at that point, you were the biggest threat besides Perry, who I had managed to align with. He wanted you gone, and I needed a strong ally.
Perry: you have to know that I'm really, really sorry. As I've already said, I regret it right after I voted. I still think you should have won this game, and I was actually willing to say to the jury 'vote Perry, forget me and Maya' if you were here with me. I messed up and now I feel like I have to win this, that's why I'm writing this while I should be reading psychology.
What's the most important thing for you?
Well, overall, that's a very personal question. In the game, however, loyalty and honestly. That might sound like a cliché, but that's that.
Have you had fun?
I always have fun! Really, I try to have fun as often as possible.
What's your favorite colour?
Green.
What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
That's a tough one. We have this awesome ice cream company in Denmark that has a lot of great flavors, and I like all of them. If I had to pick one, though, it'd probably be their 'café latte' or 'Skilpadde' (which is Danish for 'turtle' - don't worry though, it's a very popular kind of chocolate in Denmark, it's not actually turtle-flavored).
Thanks, guys. Again you can post questions, but I'd really appreciate it if you'd notify me on Facebook.
Kaffe.
